Welcome New Users! Please complete the following steps to get started:
Log In to Employee Access:
URL: https://delnortecountyca-train.tylerportico.com/tesp/employee-selfservice/.
Username: Your County Email Address (e.g., yourname@co.del-norte.ca.us). (Detailed Instructions)
Off-Network Access: If accessing the system away from the County network, a second sign-in prompt will appear. Use your network computer login credentials (username and password) for this second prompt, not your email address.
Explore the System:
Familiarize yourself with the available screens and features.
Practice Timecard Activities:
Locate your Timecard via the "My Time" menu.
Create and enter test time entries into your Timecard. (Detailed Instructions)
Submit a request for time off (leave).

Enter Time | Instructions
Timesheet Entry: Under the Employee actions menu item at the top, select Timesheet entry from the menu on the left: screenshot
You can use the plus (+) icon in the Actions column to add a new entry or click the Copy Row icon next to an existing entry.
Any entries with a yellow highlight on the left of the column indicates the entry has not yet been saved.
The Type column will determine if you have the enter a Start Time and End Time, or if you enter a Start Time and Duration. Codes 100 and 102 will require a Start and End Time while codes for Sick Leave or Hours Worked Duration require a Start Time and Duration.
How to Enter Standby Time (coming soon)
Request Time-Off
Requesting time-off is required in order to utilize accruals like Vacation, Comp Time, Floating Holidays, Meritorious Service, etc.
If you are requesting time off on a single day you only need to provide the Start Date.
If you are requesting multiple days, they must be consecutive with no off days (weekend, holiday, etc) between the dates.
In the Benefit Time field you will enter the amount of time your are requesting per day, NOT the total for all the days.
Any comments you enter will be included in the request.
Review
Use Time card inquiry to review the details of your time. Any automatic items like Overtime and Shift Differentials will be shown on this screen. This is also the area where you will be able to convert overtime to comp time.
Use Time summary to see a breakdown of your overall time
Use Time approval to see details of your time card and to approve your time card.
Converting Overtime to Comp Time
Prior to submitting your time card, select Time card inquiry from the menu on the left.
Scroll down and look for any areas that show you earned overtime.
A field will be available that allows you to indicate how much of the overtime should be converted to comp time.

Use Time approval in the left side menu.
You may need to click Previous Period if are doing this process on a Friday, on the first day of a new pay period.
Review the summary information at the top and the details at the bottom of the screen to make sure your timecard is accurate.
Enter you Initials and then click Approve & Submit
